The Lego Ferrari F40 is incredibly detailed, with Lego engineers using more than 500 pictures to ensure that every angle and contour of the F40 was as accurate as possible. Lego even created new pieces from scratch to ensure that their production was as authentic as the original F40. Five-spoke rims were created along with a new windscreen piece that is an exact, proportional replica of the F40's unique trapezoidal windscreen. The result is a true work of art, with a beautifully detailed V8 engine, bucket seats, and even the iconic flip-up lights. The Official Ferrari Magazine recently published a piece detailing the inception and creation of Lego's most recent partnership with Ferrari. The product of this process is now on display as the Ferrari F40 was recently chosen by Lego to be the 42nd set to carry the Prancing Horse badge. The difference between this set and ones of the past is that Lego set out to make a large-scale, fully detailed replica for display. This isn't one for the kids to race on the carpet, but rather a work of art created to pay homage to the craftsmanship behind both brands.
